Cat. #0090 (MFH #625) - As sung by Mrs. Emma Jean and Mrs. Verda Fayes Hamilton, Gainesville, Missouri on April 29, 1958
VERSE 1
For years I've been jest a rounder
Playing cards and drinking my rum
Living for earthly pleasures
And I thought I was having my fun
VERSE 2
It was on one day in September
Th seventh day, to be right
God showed me th way I was living
And o, what an awful sight
VERSE 3
But he told me that he still loved me
An' how I could be made whole
So, I fell on my knees an' repented
And he saved my misguided soul
VERSE 4
Now boys, we must all remember
That this life on earth can't last
An' after this life is over
We'll all be judged by our past
VERSE 5
Now, there's two trains running daily
Each train in different way
One will let you ride free, boys
The other one you have to pay
VERSE 6
Th one that'll let you ride free, boys
Will take you deep down in sin
And after your ride is over
In torment you'll pay for it then
VERSE 7
Now, it's true boys, all I have spoken
I'm sure that you will agree
So, won't you be warned by my pleading
And ride on the safe train, with me
